Despite Dan's objections, Matt leaves the drug rehab center claiming that he has followed the regimen there and can handle the situation on his own.Then, back at the hospital, Matt is informed that he has been suspended from medical school. Enraged, Matt goes to Dan's house and accuses him of being behind his suspension.
But, when Matt confirms Dan's guess at the name of his supplier, Dan tells him that his supplier was recently arrested and sang like a canary to the police. Dan goes on to say the Matt is not the only person who has suffered as a result of his supplier's statements to the authorities.
Matt apologizes to Dan for jumping to the conclusion that he was to blame. Dan tells Matt that he is only interested in helping him saying that he was once where he is now. Matt thanks Dan for his support.
