JANE, JAKE, ALISON, BILLY and SAMANTHA:
As Samantha is getting some of her things in Jane's apartment, Billy wonders out loud why he gets the feeling Jane had something to do with the harassment Jake and Alison have been putting up with lately. But, Jane says she has no idea what Jake is talking about.
But, on the street, Jane can not pass up the opportunity to slash the tires on Alison's car.
Billy continues to be the scape goat for Jane's mischievous ways until Jake catches Jane in the act of stalking himself and Alison. Jane explains that all this negative attention is really just a cry of love. But, when Jane tries to kiss Jake, he pushes her away.
Jane responds to this rejection by serving Jake a restraining order prohibiting him from coming within 100 feet of her. Jane stands in her apartment grinning as Jake tries to calm Alison's rage over this latest turn of events.
While all this is going on, Billy is trying to make a go at a relationship with Samantha. The problem is that, as her employee and room mate, Samantha is around Jane way to much for Billy's own good.
For example, at one point, Billy goes to the boutique to ask Sam out. But, just before he gets there, Jane relates to Sam the entire history involving Billy, Alison, Brooke and Hayley. By the time Billy shows up, Sam is too busy to go out with him.
But, Billy and Sam do eventually have a picnic lunch together. And, Billy seems to be able to put Sams' fears to rest.
